A User Javascript for improving Reddit

First of all, I’d like to congratulate reddit on a succesful rewrite and relaunch of their site. Many of my issues with reddit were resolved in this rewrite, conveniently hiding most of the political garbage from me.

There are however points for improvement, so I’ve hacked up an Opera User JavaScript to fix two of the more glaring issues:

  1. Reddit now displays “load more comments” links. They annoy me, and a bunch of other people. The user script automatically clicks all of these for you.
  2. Direct links to “details” and “related” sections for an entry are added in all entry listings

The script only works in Opera 9.5, because it uses getElementsByClassName to improve performance. You can grab a build here. If you need help with getting userjs running, here’s a tutorial

Mark: Sorry, I forgot to add the license yesterday. I’ve added it now, and it’s BSD (Although, I was considering WTFPL for a moment)

Thanks.

I think Opera is a really modern browser. I downloaded it the other day and noticed loads of features that it supports that amazingly firefox and IE7 dosen’t.

Cheers.

Dave.
