Fuel cells and airport security
2006-12-28 16:44
Samsung just showed a fuel cell docking station for their Q35 ultraportable
Now, given that fuel cells typically uses methanol or other highly flammable liquids, a question arises: How does this work with the new security rules that forbid you from bringing liquids in quantities bigger than 100ml (and I’m pretty sure they forbid any combustible liquid)? Are we going to be required to check in and leave our laptops with baggage handlers?
Opera for Wii beta out on Dec. 22

Ok, a lot of you have been waiting for Opera for the Wii. The beta, or trial version will be out on December 22nd — just in time for the holidays. For those in need of a simpler explanation, Meet the Opera Ninja
I have not yet seen the final product, but seeing as I’m getting my Wii just in time for the Christmas holidays, I’m really looking forward to some real couch surfing with Opera on Wii during the holidays (As I’m looking forward to obliterating family and friends at Wii Tennis, Boxing and Bowling).
Wii more popular than sex
2006-12-16 17:19
I just had a look at WikiCharts — the November edition featured the Nintendo Wii as the highest-ranking regular article on Wikipedia, with the Playstation 3 article following as the second most-popular non self-referential article.
Looking at the running charts for this month the Playstation 3 article has fallen to a 32rd place in the list, with the Wii article still at #8, still being the #1 non-meta article or special page. Just ahead of sex.
I’ll refrain from making unfunny comments about the lack of September 2007 babies.
The species license

Ok, this one’s a bit over a year old, but did you know that the Daleks have an Opera species license
Dalek: Exactly. You have to look out for yourself. The internet's really not a nice place to be these days, what with rootkits and viruses and all that phishing. We all use Opera, of course. We got a species licence. Bought it about three days before they made Opera free, just our luck.
