I am impressed. Bill Thompson manages to spend several screenfulls, saying in essence, only that he wants the bad, old pre-www days back. The days when you were held hostage by monopolist vendors. Just because the major, dying, web browser sucks.
Bill: Switch to a modern browser, like Opera or Firefox and start writing some real web-based applications. Stateless protocols will do you good.
