Trackback with autoexcerpts

Joshua Kaufman asked for a trackback bookmarklet that used the selected text on the page you're bookmarking was possible. It sure is, but due to browser differences, I've had to create three different bookmarklets, one for Mozilla, one for Opera and one for MSIE.
- Mozilla bookmarklet
- Opera bookmarklet
- MSIE Bookmarklet
- Autosubmit Mozilla bookmarklet
- Autosubmit Opera bookmarklet
- Sorry, no autosubmit for MSIE
The Mozilla bookmarklet may or may not work in Phoenix, half the times I tested it worked, the other half of the times it failed.
Replace any occurence of the text your_trackback_url with your actual TrackBack URL.

Hmm, I couldn’t get any of those bookmarklets to work. I mean they don’t do anything. Any ideas?

Try now. Textile converted my " to &" when I posted the entry.

Sure. I’ve added autosubmittable bookmarklets for Mozilla and Opera. For now, I’m considering IE a no-go.
